The Upper Caragh river drains the southern side of the McGillycuddy Reeks and flows into Caragh Lake. A private fishery based on tourist angling, with a full time fishery manager/guide. The fishery is very well maintained and most of the bank fishing is wheelchair accessible.
Over 330 fish were caught by anglers on the Upper Caragh in 2012, around 40% of which were spring fish.
The fishery is divided into 7 beats which are fished in rotation. Anglers have a beat to themselves on a daily basis, and can cover all the main fishery in a week.
The fishery also includes Lough Reagh and Cloon Lough as well as Lough Accoose, most of which is also in the ownership of the fishery.
